Ozone
Therapy
Ozone therapy is one of the most effective, well-tolerated, and safe approaches to supporting health, used for medical treatments since the 1900s to treat acute and chronic diseases such as infections, skin problems, digestive issues, auto-immune diseases, degenerative diseases, pain, and cancer.
Ozone is a natural gas present in the high layers of the atmosphere and it protects us from UV rays. Is a gas made out of 3 atoms of oxygen instead of the 2 atom molecule that forms the oxygen we breathe.
Ozone may be used by itself or in conjunction with other therapies and can be added to any medical protocol. As it enters the body it dissolves rapidly in body fluids such as plasma (blood) and lymphatic fluids, it reacts to certain lipids becoming stable compounds that are called ozonides which last for several days after treatment and are what actually produce a cascade of biological positive healing effects in the body such as:
Acting as a broad spectrum germicidal killing bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast, and protozoa.
-
Enhancing the antioxidant capacity of the body by activating the intrinsic metabolic antioxidant pathway NrF2, preventing the damage caused by the oxidative stress that occurs in the body during the cellular metabolic processes and during chronic diseases
-
As an immune system modulator that promotes a sequence of positive reactions that support the immune system's ability to inhibit viral replications and kill cancer cells.
-
It increases the amount of oxygen delivered to different organs and tissue reduces inflammation and pain, while promoting blood circulation thus accelerating healing
Ozone is administered to the body in different ways:
Saline solution percolated with ozone is administered intravenous or subcutaneous, it is also used as a flush for surgical sites, wounds, bladder, eyes, ears, and mouth.
Ozone is also mixed with blood drawn from the patient which may be injected back into the vein or injected intramuscularly or at acupuncture points.
Prolozone: Ozone mixed with other natural remedies is injected intra-articular or in painful areas to promote healing and relieve pain such as in cases of joint diseases such as osteoarthritis and for disc avulsions.
Rectal insufflation: with the help of a rectal catheter, ozone is introduced directly to the colon where is rapidly absorbed through the walls of the colon reaching the bloodstream to be distributed to the entire body.
Bagging affected area of the body for open wounds that are hard to heal, infected or necrotic, as well as skin infections, rashes, or draining tumors.
Ozonated olive oil to promote healing of open wounds, skin and ear infections, mouth ulcers, and gingivitis.
Today, there are 40 International associations of Ozone therapy bringing together medical and veterinary doctors that use ozone to treat their patients.
